1. 2 oz Brandy or cognac (a good one!)
2. 1 oz Triple Sec or Cointreau
3. 1/2 – 1 oz fresh lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, shake well. Chill a martini glass, rub the edge with lemon juice and dip into raw sugar (can be colored with food coloring for a special occasion!). Strain the concoction into festive glass.
